I started my aviation career in 2001 with a small FBO in Greensboro, NC called Atlantic Aero. Starting as a line service technician I knew aviation was special to me and started A&P school immediately. Within six months I was moved to the parts room and soon after onto the hangar floor as an apprentice mechanic.
Moving forward I was able to gain knowledge on many different aircraft over the years. Ranging from a wide variety of corporate aircraft (Lear models, Citations, King Air’s, C208, 441, 425, Challenger 300, G3, Piaggio, Bell 427, 429, 407, 407GX and 230, etc.) to regional airliners (Embraer 135, 140, 145, and the CRJ200) and some heavy experience (767, 727, A300). I also worked on the GP7200 (the engine used on the A380) during its developmental stage as an instrumentation technician. After 3 years at American Eagle Airlines in Raliegh, NC as a line mechanic my family and I decided to move to South Florida in late 2009 to work as a lead mechanic for a law enforcement agency. Here I have gained experience working on the Bell 407 (legacy), 407GX, and the 429 and remain employed currently. Over the course of my career, I have gained an Airframe and Powerplant license, Inspection Authorization license, FCC license, and received factory training from multiple OEM’s to include Bell, Cessna, Beechcraft, Rolls-Royce, Pratt and Whitney, Embraer, and Bombardier. (Some of these I have training on multiple models)
I have earned a master’s degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Aeronautical Science, a bachelor’s degree from Embry-Riddle in Professional Aeronautics, building on my original associate degree from Guilford Technical Community College in Aircraft Systems Technology.
About 7 years ago I became interested in the aircraft valuation business. I became a member of the American Society of Appraisers and began training. Over the last five years I have performed valuations on a range of corporate aircraft and aviation inventory. In October of 2021 I became an Accredited Senior Appraiser with ASA and am also USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant. I specialize in appraising corporate jets, turbo props, and rotorcraft. It is important to me to ensure that my clients are given the attention they deserve and are treated with respect while at the same time maintaining their privacy as well. My appraisals are professional, accurate, and impartial.
I am located in Jupiter, Florida. Residing in Palm Beach County I am very close to West Palm (Palm Beach International Airport) and Boca Raton Airport among many others which gives me quick access with no additional travel fees involved. I have a wife and 2 kids that I enjoy spending time with. Some of the things I like to do is spend time with the family, fishing, traveling, going to the kid’s sporting events, riding bikes, and of course appraising aircraft.
